From the inception of the magical girl in shows like Cardcaptor Sakura to its complete deconstruction in shows like Madoka Magica, magic has been grounds for the majestic and impossible. It creates world upon worlds and gives audiences countless opportunities of escape. It’s one of the main reasons people always come back to anime as it provides some of the most satisfying battle sequences as well as feeds that child in us still hoping that magical things exists. Well, they do, you just have to create them by spending hundreds of hours in front of paper and computer .
